What is radiology?
Radiology is a medical specialty that uses imaging techniques such as X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI to help doctors diagnose and monitor health conditions.
What should I bring for my scan?
Please bring your doctor’s prescription/referral, a valid ID, previous scan reports or images, and any relevant medical records.
Do I need an appointment?
It depends on the examination. MRI and certain contrast-enhanced or specialized procedures generally require an appointment, while some basic X-rays and ultrasound examinations may be available without prior booking.
How long does it take to receive my report?
Reporting time depends on the examination. Routine imaging may be reported within 24–48 hours, while urgent cases may be prioritized.
How long does an MRI take?
Most MRI examinations take approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the body part and type of examination.
Can I have an X-ray if I am pregnant?
Tell the radiology team if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant before having an X-ray. The medical team will consider the appropriate examination and necessary precautions.
